1. استخدام الصفات الأساسية (Adjectives)
الصفات هي كلمات نستخدمها لوصف الأشياء، مثل: big, small, beautiful, interesting.
أمثلة:
The house is big. (البيت كبير)
The view is beautiful. (المنظر جميل)

2. قواعد المقارنة بين شيئين (Comparative Adjectives)
إذا أردت مقارنة شيئين، أضف "-er" إلى نهاية الصفة، إذا كانت قصيرة، أو استخدم "more" بمعنى أكثر و "less " بمعنى أقل مع الصفات الطويلة.
أمثلة:
Short adjective: tall → taller
Ali is taller than Sami. (علي أطول من سامي)
Long adjective: beautiful → more beautiful
This flower is more beautiful than that one. (هذه الزهرة أجمل من تلك)
ملاحظة:
إذا كانت الصفة تنتهي بحرف "y"، حوّل "y" إلى "i" قبل إضافة "-er":
happy → happier
busy → busier

3. قواعد المقارنة بين أكثر من شيئين (Superlative Adjectives)
إذا أردت وصف شيء بأنه الأفضل أو الأكثر تميزًا بين مجموعة، استخدم "the" مع "-est" للصفات القصيرة، أو "the most" بمعنى الاكثر و "The least " بمعنى الأقل مع الصفات الطويلة.
أمثلة:
Short adjective: tall → the tallest
Ali is the tallest in his class. (علي هو الأطول في فصله)
Long adjective: beautiful → the most beautiful
This is the most beautiful place I have ever seen. (هذا هو أجمل مكان رأيته في حياتي)
ملاحظة:
مع الصفات التي تنتهي بحرف "y"، حوّل "y" إلى "i" قبل إضافة "-est":

1. الصفات الغير منتظمه (Irregular Adjectives):
بعض الصفات لا تتبع هذه القواعد وتحتاج إلى حفظ خاص:
good → better (مقارنة) → the best (الأفضل)
bad → worse (مقارنة) → the worst (الأسوأ)
far → farther/further (مقارنة) → the farthest/furthest (الأبعد)
2. استخدام "than" مع المقارنة:
عندما تقارن بين شيئين، استخدم "than":
He is smarter than his friend. (هو أذكى من صديقه)
3. استخدام "the" مع الأفضل:
عندما تصف شيئًا بأنه الأفضل، استخدم "the":
She is the smartest student in the class. (هي أذكى طالبة في الفصل)
